“A Decade of Silent Love—Exposed by the Bullet Screens”: Chapter 100

The resounding declaration, “Shi Ning is the young lady of the Qin family! Shi Ning is Qin Heye’s wife! Qin Heye is Shi Ning’s husband!” echoed through the air. It was Qin Heye’s voice, unmistakable. Shi Ning’s head snapped up, her eyes wide with shock, only to meet the gazes of everyone in the dining room. Her face instantly flushed a fiery red. She pinched Qin Heye gently, desperately whispering, “Quickly turn it off!” This was far too public!

The sound, emanating from what seemed to be the music fountain, with speakers strategically placed throughout the old house, was broadcasting his proud declaration to every corner. Shi Ning had never imagined such a grand, embarrassing display. This was a social death of epic proportions!

Qin Heye, however, seemed to think it was even better than the music fountain. “Play it all night,” he suggested. “Make it an official announcement.”

Grandpa Qin and the others all looked at Shi Ning, their expressions a mixture of amusement and surprise. Even Shui Qianlan, who was holding a piece of sweet and sour pork ribs, had a strange glint in her eyes.

Shi Ning leaned close to Qin Heye’s ear, her voice a furious whisper. “Turn it off, or you’re not allowed in bed tonight! ans not be ble to touch me for a month!”

Qin Heye looked at her, his expression unreadable, then made a call, instructing someone to silence the “official announcement.” “Eat, eat,” Shi Ning muttered, burying her face in her food, utterly mortified. From now on, she resolved, she would never again ask Qin Heye for a public declaration of their relationship. It was simply too much!

Qin Hongyi, watching the couple’s playful interaction, felt a wave of satisfaction. He glanced at Shui Qianlan. She merely placed a pot of spicy dry pot shrimp in front of him, smiled gently, and began to eat in silence. The spicy dry pot shrimp was Qin Hongyi’s favorite, but it was notoriously troublesome to prepare. Qin Hongyi looked at Shui Qianlan, excitement shining in his eyes, his gentle infatuation undeniable. But then, remembering Shi Ning’s earlier words about “Forced love,” he took a deep breath, swallowed the words he longed to say, and quietly ate with a stern expression. To further prove his feigned disinterest, he ate only a few bites of the delicious shrimp. Shui Qianlan, beside him, frowned subtly, perplexed.

Qin Hongyi ate little, but Shi Ning ate a lot. She loved spicy food, especially shrimp and crab, which Qin Heye dutifully peeled for her.

After dinner, Qin Heye and Shi Ning bid their farewells and returned to their own villa. As soon as they left, Grandpa Qin went back to his yard, and Shui Qianlan retreated to her room. Qin Hongyi, who had been holding his pet turtle, walked a few steps, then hurried back to the kitchen. Seeing that the spicy shrimp hadn’t been discarded, he casually ordered a few other dishes, then solemnly instructed the servants, “Leave the dishes. I will pair them with wine later.” With a profound look, he departed, roaring inwardly, Ahhh! There are only three spicy shrimp left that my wife made! Only three! I’ll be licking the plate in a bit!

The servants exchanged bewildered glances. Rich people eat leftovers?

On the way home, Lin Han drove while Qin Heye and Shi Ning sat in the back, both silently engrossed in their phones. Qin Heye had unlocked the permissions for his “Moments,” and Shi Ning began to scroll, a single post catching her eye.

On the day of the proposal: [Qin: I proposed marriage, I was very nervous, fortunately it was the first time, fortunately it was the last time.]

On the day of getting the marriage certificate: [Qin: Is it great to have a wife? Yes! I am great!]

On the day of the marriage agreement: [Qin: A wise man does not fall in love, sorry, I am mentally retarded.] It’s true that as long as Shi Ning looks at him, he will automatically turn her mentally retarded into a love-brain on 520.

Then, she saw a photo of a boiled, dry cob of corn, a burnt sandwich, and a glass of milk.
Accompanying caption: [Qin: A loving breakfast made by my wife.] Below it was a puppy emoji.

Shi Ning’s eyes widened. !!! A wave of guilt washed over her as she looked at Qin Heye. This breakfast had been cooked for Shen Xizhou, who had scorned it and left without a bite. Coincidentally, Qin Heye had come downstairs, seen the food, and coldly asked if she had made it. At the time, Shi Ning, in a foul mood, had retorted that it was “cooked for dogs” before storming off. She never expected Qin Heye to photograph it, eat it, and then post such a caption! The puppy emoji… was it to match her dismissive comment about it being “cooked for dogs?”

The barrage erupted with glee:
[Oh my god, why didn’t the villain have so many scenes before? It’s so funny, a mentally retarded villain.]
[The breakfast made by my wife for the dog, the villain ate it, with the puppy expression pack, how can the dog licker not be a dog.]
[The villain in front of people is silent and every word is worth a thousand gold; the villain in the circle of friends, the chatter is all about the wife.]
[What’s the circle of friends, the secret love diary in the attic, that’s exciting, beautiful, super contrast!]

Shi Ning’s interest was instantly piqued. !!! I want to see it! She tilted her head and called out, “Qin Heye.”

“Hmm?” Qin Heye looked up at her.

Shi Ning considered her words carefully. “You like… hiss.”

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through Shi Ning’s lower abdomen, and her face went pale. “My stomach hurts.”

“What’s wrong?” Qin Heye immediately instructed Lin Han to pull over.

Shi Ning clutched her stomach. “It should be because I ate too much tonight. Your mother’s food is so delicious.”

Qin Heye gathered Shi Ning into his arms and told Lin Han, “Go to the hospital.”

Halfway there, Shi Ning struggled to move from Qin Heye’s embrace, her face flushing as she whispered, “No need to go to the hospital, I’m having my period.” She had just felt it begin. She pushed at Qin Heye. “Put me down quickly, it will dirty your pants.”

Qin Heye didn’t release her, nor did he instruct Lin Han to change course. He held her close, placing his large hand gently on her lower abdomen. “Don’t you have three days left for your period?”

He remembered it pefectly! Shi Ning blushed deeper. “Maybe it was stimulated today.” Delicious food, and Qin Heye, a “delicious man.”

After a quick trip to the hospital, the doctor confirmed a mild case of dysmenorrhea, advising more warm water, brown sugar water, and rest.

Back at Qin’s house, Shi Ning changed clothes while Qin Heye went to boil brown sugar water. After drinking it, Shi Ning looked at Qin Heye, who had just returned from an exhausting trip abroad, yet was still tirelessly caring for her. She wrestled with her thoughts throughout the night. Finally, unable to hold back, she gently tugged on Qin Heye’s tie, looking at him with earnest regret. “Qin Heye, I’m sorry.”

Qin Heye placed the bowl on the bedside table, sat on the bed, and gently rubbed her stomach, looking at her with a puzzled expression. “Why do you say sorry?”

Shi Ning, embarrassed, buried her face in his arms and whispered, “I promised to be with you after returning home… Now it’s not possible.”

Qin Heye was momentarily stunned, then lowered his head and kissed her forehead. “No need to apologize for such things. We have a long way to go.”

Shi Ning blushed. “After my this ends , I will…” She was too shy to finish the sentence, just looked at Qin Heye, her cheeks burning.

Qin Heye, seeing her shy expression, chuckled. “No hurry.”

[Ahhh! Big villain, why are you being so stubborn again, you are obviously more anxious than anyone else!]
[It’s true that the female supporting villain is not anxious, but we, the group of big yellow girls, are anxious to death!]
[It’s unjust. All kinds of forced love that imprisoned play turned into pure love. I’ll sue it to heaven, sue it to heaven.]

Shi Ning felt a pang of guilt, lowering her head, and muttering softly, “I’m just anxious. Who wants to eat vegetarian food after eating meat?” The experience with Qin Heye that day had been truly wonderful! They were both adults, and he was her legitimate husband. She didn’t need to live a “vegetarian” life or be a “widow,” did she?

Though her voice was soft, Qin Heye heard it. He asked her, his voice hoarse, “Wife wants to eat meat?”

Shi Ning looked up. The next second, Qin Heye took her hand and pressed it against him. “Then satisfy my wife.”

“I’m having my period,” Shi Ning protested, blushing, trying to pull her hand away.

“Wife, it’s okay,” Qin Heye held her hand tightly, looking at her red lips, a mischievous smile playing on his face.
