[Qin: OK.]
Seeing Qin Heye reply so obediently, almost shyly, Shi Ning couldn’t resist teasing him. [Remember to wash your face and apply perfume.] She followed it with an adorable emoticon: a little beauty lying on a bed, tail wagging, with the words: “Baby, come quickly~”
[Qin: Yes.]
Such a simple word, ‘yes’? What a waste of her teasing! Shi Ning was deeply dissatisfied. Holding her phone, her small fingers flew across the screen.
[Wife: I am so passionate about you, but your mouth at 37 degrees can only say such cold words!]
[Wife: My heart that just melted has been frozen again! I am no longer Mrs. Qin, I am Niu Hulu, the young lady Qin who seals the heart and locks the love!]
Qin Heye held his phone, reading Shi Ning’s message. He could almost picture her: lying on the bed, mobile phone in hand, her feet playfully kicking, a pout on her lips, a smile gracing her face as she typed. The image of such a cute and charming Shi Ning instantly melted his usually cold heart.
But then, the thought struck him: such a wonderful girl had once given her hottest, strongest love to Shen Xizhou for five long years! Qin Heye’s eyes suddenly turned glacial. How could Shen Xizhou bear to hurt and use such a good Shi Ning?
In an instant, Qin Heye radiated a cold, terrifying murderous aura. Pei Qianhuo, who had just entered with documents, froze. What was that? He quickly decided to retreat, eager to avoid being caught in the crossfire.
But the very next second, Qin Heye, still radiating murderous intent, spoke into his phone, his voice a sudden, gentle murmur. “Baby, I’ll be there right away.”
The voice was soft, shy, and utterly charming, sending a shiver down Pei Qianhuo’s spine. It was even more terrifying than Qin Heye’s murderous aura!
…
Shi Ning heard Qin Heye’s soft, low “baby,” a sound that was incredibly sexy and seductive. Shyly, she turned off her phone, closed her eyes, and drifted into a nap.
She dozed for a while, then was roused by the distinct sound of a car engine outside. In her drowsy state, she heard Butler Zhao’s shocked voice. “Son-in-law! You’re here!” His voice rose in excitement. “Sir, son-in-law is here!”
Shi Ning’s eyes snapped open. “Qin Heye is here?” He was a workaholic, capable of laboring for three days and three nights without sleep. He had actually come to her during working hours on a weekday? Shi Ning quickly got up.
“Mr Qin! You’re here.”
As Shi Ning stepped out of her room, she saw Shi Qingyin descending the spiral staircase, moving towards Qin Heye like a bird flitting through a forest. She bypassed Shi Guoqiang and positioned herself directly in front of Qin Heye, her hands clasped behind her back, gazing up at him with a joyful expression. She looked like a devoted wife welcoming her husband home, her hand reaching out to take his coat.
Shi Guoqiang’s path was blocked, and seeing Shi Qingyin’s eager display, his face darkened with displeasure.
Qin Heye didn’t even glance at Shi Qingyin, much less acknowledge her. He handed his coat to Butler Zhao, who stood nearby, then looked up at Shi Ning, who was still on the stairs. A smile touched his lips as he met her gaze, her eyebrows curving in response. She slowly descended.
“Well, my wife said that a person was needed to accompany her , so I came.”
Shi Qingyin, felling ignored, looked visibly unhappy. Still, she smoothly retrieved a pair of house shoes from the shoe cabinet and bent down to place them before Qin Heye. “Change into house shoes; it’s more comfortable.”
Butler Zhao, having just hung the coat, watched Shi Qingyin bend. Her posture was perfectly angled, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of white skin . Butler Zhao’s aged face suddenly hardened. She’s seducing the eldest lady’s husband! Fortunately, Mr. Qin hadn’t lowered his gaze; his eyes remained fixed on the eldest lady. Butler Zhao’s expression softened slightly, and he spoke to Shi Qingyin in a pointed, sarcastic tone. “Miss, are you reluctant to leave the Shi family and planning to stay as a servant? Is that why you’re so eager to grab the servant’s job?”
Shi Qingyin ignored Butler Zhao, her smile unwavering as she addressed Qin Heye. “What game are you playing, sister? We’re just short of one person.” She frowned, feigning concern. “There are so many people at home, but you had to call him, who is so busy. It must have delayed his work.” She offered what she thought was kind advice. “Sister is just a little willful; she only cares about herself. Master Qin, don’t blame my sister.”
Shi Ning walked directly over, and with a deliberate jut of her hip, pushed Shi Qingyin aside. She raised her eyes, smiling sweetly at Qin Heye. “I am very willful. I’ll find someone else to play the ‘game of two missing one.'”
Qin Heye immediately took her hand, pulling her into his arms. He leaned down, his lips close to her ear, his voice a low, husky murmur. “Your bed is too big. The ‘game of two missing one,’ you can only call me. No one else is allowed!”
Shi Qingyin, standing nearby, heard his words. Her already bruised face turned a deeper shade of green. She glared at Shi Ning, her eyes burning with jealousy and contempt. Inviting Qin Heye to play the ‘game of two missing one’ to sleep together in broad daylight! Shameless!
But no one paid any attention to Shi Qingyin’s mood.
Qin Heye, his arm around Shi Ning’s shoulders, greeted Shi Guoqiang gently and politely. “Dad.”
Shi Guoqiang scrutinized Qin Heye, his face beaming with satisfaction. “Next time you come, tell me in advance.” He continued, pleased. “You came so hastily, and nothing is prepared at home. You can also come back with Ningning.” He was overjoyed. His precious daughter had been married for three years! Yet, she hadn’t returned in all that time, nor had she brought her son-in-law back. For three years, the neighbors had even mistaken Shi Qingyin for his biological daughter. The thought made him frown.
Shi Guoqiang turned his head and looked at Shi Qingyin. Seeing the jealousy etched on her face, his expression hardened. “Yinyin.”
Shi Qingyin’s expression shifted instantly to one of obedient humility. “Uncle, I’m here. If you have anything, just tell me. I can prepare dinner.”
Shi Guoqiang extended his hand. “You’ve grown up and are going to move out. It’s time to be independent and self-reliant. Give me back that suplemetary card.”
Shi Qingyin’s face went pale. She clutched the card, reluctant to part with it. “Uncle…” It was a diamond card with a monthly limit of five million. Though it had been suspended for three months, it was supposed to be restored! Now, if the card was taken back, she would have no money to spend!
Shi Ning raised an eyebrow, looking at her. “Sister, are you reluctant to return it? Do you have such strong possessiveness for other people’s money? No way? No way?”
Shi Guogang stepped forward, his face grim. “Go find the diamond card and return it to your uncle.”
Shi Qingyin mumbled sullenly, “I don’t know where I put it. I’ll go find it now.” She shot a deep, longing glance at Qin Heye, then turned and went upstairs.
Shi Guogang looked up at Shi Guoqiang. “Brother, Xiaoning has been married for three years. This is the first time she has brought her husband back.” He asked cautiously, “It’s also the first reunion dinner. Can we have dinner together before moving out?”
Shi Guogang’s excessive caution made Shi Guoqiang feel ungrateful. He also felt a pang of guilt; the two brothers shouldn’t be like this.
Butler Zhao, ever vigilant, whispered to Shi Guoqiang, “Boss Shi, be careful that your daughter doesn’t want you.”
Shi Guoqiang cleared his throat, then looked up at Shi Ning. “What do you think?”
Shi Ning, armed with the bullet screen spoilers, wasn’t afraid of their schemes and didn’t want her father to feel bad. She nodded happily. “Okay.”
Shi Guoqiang beamed. “You take your son-in-law for a walk first. I’ll go arrange dinner now.”
Shi Ning took Qin Heye’s hand and asked him, “Walk in the garden?”
Qin Heye leaned down, his lips close to her ear, his voice husky. “Your room.”
Shi Ning tilted her head, looking at him, and caught the fresh scent of his bath. What?
Qin Heye gently took her hand and placed it in his trouser pocket, his voice dropping even lower, deeper. “Listen to my wife, wash it white, wipe it fragrant, and come to accompany you.” His handsome face flushed slightly. “Your bed will not be missing one.”
Shi Ning’s eyes widened. !!! He! Come! Really!
At that very moment, Shi Qingyin stood upstairs, the diamond card clutched in her hand. Watching the ambiguous exchange between Shi Ning and Qin Heye, her eyes burned with jealousy. Dark calculations swirled in their depths, fueled by a desperate hope. After a while, Qin Heye would see those things. She wondered if he would still be so ambiguous, and happy then.
