“Brother Xizhou should coax my sister,” Shi Qingyin urged Shen Xizhou, her voice dripping with calculated sweetness. “Even if you raise a dog, you should occasionally give it meat bones to eat. Brother Xizhou, just confess to sister again, give her a hug and a kiss, and you will be reconciled.”
Shen Xizhou dismissed her casually. “Let’s talk about it later.” He remained supremely confident that Shi Ning would be the proactive one in such matters.
Shi Qingyin’s smile widened. “Then when sister comes downstairs, I will find a chance for you to be alone. Brother Xizhou must do as I say.” Her mind was already racing, envisioning the moment she would bring Qin Heye to witness Shi Ning’s betrayal and infidelity with his own eyes. She couldn’t believe they wouldn’t divorce even if he caught them red-handed! Shi Qingyin reveled in her dark plotting, oblivious that her every scheme had been laid bare to Shi Ning by the unseen barrage.
Butler Zhao emerged from the house, spotting Shi Qingyin and Shen Xizhou deep in conversation. Recalling the eldest young lady’s recent instructions, he called out to Shi Qingyin, “The kitchen is too busy. We need to chop onions. Will the second young lady help with dinner?”
Treating her like a servant? Shi Qingyin fumed internally, but managed to force out a response. “I am here.” Just wait, you lowly servant. She swore that once her father took over the Shi Group and her uncle’s family went bankrupt, once she controlled the villa and its staff, she would work Butler Zhao to the bone until he dropped dead overnight!
As soon as Shi Qingyin and Shen Xizhou left the garden, Butler Zhao swiftly moved, hiding various objects in inconspicuous places, including near the swimming pool. It was all part of the eldest young lady’s orders.
Returning to the living room, Shi Qingyin encountered Pei Qianhuo, Qin Heye’s special assistant. She greeted him with an overly polite smile. “Special Assistant Pei, you are here.”
Pei Qianhuo, possessing an uncanny ability to discern deceit, held no favorable impression of Shi Qingyin. “Well, I’m here to deliver something to the President and his wife.”
Shi Qingyin’s eyes lit up at the package in his hand. “Is it a document?” She eagerly extended her hand. “I’ll help you deliver it to my brother-in-law. Assistant Pei can go and get busy.” It’s broad daylight! How could Shi Ning be so shameless as to drag Qin Heye off to sleep? She would seize this opportunity to prevent Shi Ning from “defiling” Qin Heye further.
Pei Qianhuo feigned consideration. “Then I’ll trouble you.” He held out the box, deliberately turning it so the writing was clearly visible.
“You’re welcome,” Shi Qingyin replied, reaching out with a smile.
But just as her fingers grazed the box, Pei Qianhuo abruptly pulled it back. “I’ll deliver it myself. The President doesn’t like women other than the President’s wife to touch the things he needs.” With a smug inner chuckle, he ascended the stairs, leaving a bewildered Shi Qingyin in his wake. Hehe, vexing a ‘green tea’ is truly refreshing!
Shi Qingyin stood frozen, the feeling of a slap stinging her face. The worst part? She had seen the words on the box. A small, bold line declared: “Make women scream, tremble, and cry…” Followed by another bold declaration: “Electronic toys!” In an instant, Shi Qingyin understood the contents. She trembled with rage. She couldn’t help but hiss, “Shameless!” Not only was Shi Ning sleeping with Qin Heye in broad daylight, but she was also buying those kinds of “little things” to spice things up! Shi Ning was utterly shameless, utterly depraved! The thought of such a Shi Ning tainting Qin Heye, who was as pure as an iceberg snow lotus, ignited a furious desire within Shi Qingyin to secretly poison Shi Ning’s dinner with a potent laxative.
Pei Qianhuo delivered the package to the door and departed. Inside, Shi Ning excitedly unboxed the toy and began to examine it with Qin Heye. The old house, having undergone renovations twenty years prior, had poor sound insulation. Faintly, Shi Ning’s excited cries could be heard.
In the kitchen, Shi Qingyin seethed, chopping onions furiously, the tears streaming down her face a mix of actual onion fumes and bitter indignation. As dinner neared completion, Shi Qingyin could no longer contain herself. She stormed upstairs and hammered on the door, itching to kick it open. “Sister, Master Qin, it’s time for dinner.”
A moment later, Shi Ning and Qin Heye emerged. Shi Ning’s face was flushed, her large eyes sparkling with excitement. She beamed at Shi Qingyin. “Thank you for your hard work, cousin.” Then, she tilted her head towards Qin Heye. “Let’s go downstairs to eat. I’m so tired from playing just now, I can’t even walk.” She opened her arms, her voice a soft entreaty. “Husband, carry me downstairs.”
Qin Heye hummed in assent, effortlessly scooping Shi Ning into his arms and carrying her down the stairs. From start to finish, he didn’t spare Shi Qingyin a glance, not even a fleeting sidelong look. To Shi Qingyin, it felt as though she were nothing more than a servant, an invisible entity. The sight of faint red marks on Qin Heye’s chest and abdomen, vaguely visible through his white shirt, fueled her fury. Had Shi Ning dared to leave hickeys on Qin Heye? And how dare she order him to carry her downstairs! The injustice boiled within her. No matter, she thought, good things will happen during dinner!
At the dining table, Shen Xizhou, hearing the commotion, looked up. He saw Shi Ning being carried like a princess by Qin Heye, her face flushed, her eyes sparkling, radiating an innocent charm. He suddenly recalled her “spring love” eyes a few days prior after she had supposedly slept with Qin Heye. Had she slept with him again? How could she betray him like this? Shen Xizhou tightened his grip on the love letter in his pocket, convincing himself that Shi Ning was deliberately flaunting her intimacy with Qin Heye to provoke him. For the sake of the love letter she had purportedly treasured, he would forgive her this time.
Shen Xizhou addressed Shi Ning with feigned concern. “What’s wrong, Ningning? Is your leg hurt?” Shi Ning, however, completely ignored him, treating him as if he were invisible.
Shi Qingyin’s face darkened. “Even if my sister lacks decorum, she should understand Mr. Qin’s hard work and shouldn’t order him around like this.”
Qin Heye gently placed Shi Ning onto a dining chair, then turned to Shi Qingyin, his voice icy. “I am happy to be ordered around by my wife. It’s my honor.”
Shi Qingyin was utterly speechless.
Shi Ning tilted her head, her face still flushed, and explained to Shi Guoqiang. “Dad, I was too tired from playing with Qin Heye just now, so I asked him to carry me down. You can’t scold me for having no manners.”
“Shi…” Shi Guoqiang, cutting off Butler Zhao before he could interject with any threatening remarks, chuckled like a doting uncle. “We are all experienced people; I can understand ,I can understand.” He then turned to Butler Zhao. “Old Zhao, tell the kitchen to prepare another bowl of Ten-Ingredient Tonic Soup for Heye.” He then leaned in, whispering to Butler Zhao, “The most nourishing, the longest-lasting, the most fertility-promoting.” He wanted to be a grandfather soon!
Butler Zhao nodded and left. Shi Guoqiang, beaming, announced, “Everyone is here, let’s eat.” He immediately served Qin Heye a piece of stir-fried lamb kidney. “Heye, it’s rare for you to come back with Ningning. Will you stay at home tonight?” Lamb kidney nourishes the kidneys and waist also !
Qin Heye turned to Shi Ning. Seeing her nod, he replied, “Ningning is at home, so I will be at home too. The wife sings and the husband follows.”
The wife sings and the husband follows? Qin Heye said it so naturally. Shi Ning blushed, glaring at him in playful embarrassment. Qin Heye merely smiled gently back. His wife had told him to speak his mind, and he was nothing if not an obedient husband.
Shi Guoqiang, having never seen Qin Heye so unguarded, was momentarily stunned before his face broke into a wide smile. “That’s good. Come back more often in the future…”
Shi Guoqiang continued chatting with Shi Ning and Qin Heye, bringing Jiang Huaijing into their conversation, the four of them forming a cohesive family unit. Shi Qingyin’s family, meanwhile, barely exchanged a few words, feeling like awkward strangers trying to force their way into the intimate circle.
Shi Ning was enjoying the peeled shrimp Qin Heye served her when the barrage reappeared before her.
[Here it comes! The heroine starts to seduce the villain, stepping lightly on the villain’s calf with her toes, moving up little by little until it reaches an indescribable place.]
[The villain belongs to the vicious female supporting role, the heroine should not touch him!]
[If the villain is dirty, he will cut off his thing, then kneel in front of the female supporting role, saying that he is dirty and he is not clean.]
The barrage suddenly enlarged, bolded in a stark red warning: [Vicious female supporting role! Stop eating! Put down your chopsticks and make trouble!]
Shi Ning, a smile playing on her lips, obediently put down her chopsticks. Well, listen to advice. It was time to stir up some trouble and teach the scumbags a lesson!
