“A Decade of Silent Love—Exposed by the Bullet Screens” : Chapter 51

Shi Ning stared at Qin Heye’s hand, now playfully entangled in his tie, a blush creeping up her neck. Could this cold, abstinent villain, Qin Heye, truly be this adept at flirting?

“Wife, do you really not like this?” Qin Heye asked again, his voice laden with a sincerity that seemed to grant her every desire.

I like it! she screamed internally. Of course I like it! The barrage of comments from her unseen audience confirmed her burgeoning desire.

[Ahhh! The villain is the business emperor, the number one villain! The feared Qin the devil! How can he be so humble! His character arc is really earth-shattering! ]

[Shi Ning, you are a vicious female supporting role! Imprison him for me! Tie him up! Whip him! Let him beg for mercy, and even cry like a kettle! ]

[This is the sickly and paranoid villain Qin Heye! In front of people, he is high and mighty, and people admire and fear him; behind people, he crawls under her skirt, begging for mercy! ]

[Think about the extreme contrast, it’s so exciting, so powerful! The sexual tension is super strong! The sense of conquest is also super cool! ]

[Vicious female supporting role, please! Quickly tie up the villain and force him to have sex! I really like watching it! Ah!!! ]

[Ahhh! If this damn girl Shi Ning doesn’t do it, let me play in the book for two episodes! I’ll do it myself! ]

[I’m going to grab Xiao Jiu’er’s keyboard now, and I’ll help her write this plot! For the Jimei, you must give me a thumbs up! Click to urge for more! ]

Shi Ning, too, felt the undeniable pull to physically enact these fantasies, to witness Qin Heye’s contrasting reactions firsthand. The urge was strong, almost compelling her to act. But a surge of self-preservation stopped her. She didn’t possess the sheer audacity to carry out such a daring act, fearing that her attempt to dominate Qin Heye would only result in her being tied up first.

With a practiced, almost imperceptible withdrawal, she pulled her hand away, feigning disinterest. “I don’t like it,” she stated, her voice striving for casualness. “I like normal, sweet love. Even if we can’t be together in the end, we have to have a good relationship!” She was no masochist, nor did she harbor sadistic tendencies.

Qin Heye’s bright eyes dimmed fractionally as her hand slipped from his, a faint shadow passing over his expression. “Okay ,” he murmured, accepting her decision.

Feeling his emotional equilibrium return, Shi Ning relaxed. With newfound courage, she cautiously asked, “Um, about the land in the west of the city… Can you trust me once?”

“Give you seven days,” Qin Heye began, then corrected himself with a deeper tone. “Give you three months. In these three months, as long as you don’t mention the land in the west of the city to Shen Xizhou, let me see that you are not trying to please me and pretend to like me for him. Than I believe there is something wrong with the land in the west of the city! And during this period, the land in the west of the city will not be started to construct !”

Shi Ning had braced herself for disbelief, for him to turn and leave, leaving her to weep alone. Instead, he was willing to give her a chance, and the project would be stalled for three months ! A wave of pure joy washed over her. She threw her arms around Qin Heye, gazing up at him with shining eyes. “You are willing to listen to me, you are willing to change, you have made progress!” She nestled her face against his chest, her soft, warm voice filled with genuine surprise. “Qin Heye, why didn’t I find out that you are so good earlier!” This cold, abstinent man, secretly so sensuous and compliant, truly needed her to take him in hand and guide him.

Qin Heye lowered his eyes, looking down at Shi Ning. He longed to tell her that he wasn’t truly good. He was a creature of darkness and paranoia, aspects of himself he utterly despised. He didn’t want her to pretend to like him, to charm him, to seduce him for Shen Xizhou. He feared her future regret, her deeper hatred, a loathing that would pierce him to his core. But in his own twisted way, he had granted her three months, secretly hoping that her pretense, her seduction, would lead to her truly wanting him. Just to possess her, even for a single moment. He was a schemer, a man who crawled in the shadows, not good at all.

Shi Ning rubbed against Qin Heye’s taut chest muscles, feeling their raw power, a warmth spreading through her face and a playful glint in her eyes. She quickly looked up. “I was obviously at home, why did you think I left?” His earlier plan to “tie her up” still smarted.

Qin Heye’s thin lips pressed together. His instinct was to hold it in, to reveal nothing. But remembering her recent “agreement” about communication, he took a deep breath. He met her gaze, his voice careful. “Lin Jingyao said that you are acting abnormally to confuse me, so as to help Shen Xizhou to get the land in the west of the city, or to leave me overnight!”

Shi Ning’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “You actually believe what Lin Jingyao said?” Wasn’t he supposed to be a master at seeing through deception?

Qin Heye shook his head. “I didn’t believe it at first, but when I got home, there were no servants. I searched the villa and didn’t see you. Then I thought of her words and thought you were gone.”

Shi Ning was speechless. “Are you sure you searched the villa? I was obviously sleeping in your room!”

Qin Heye had indeed searched the entire villa, but he hadn’t entered his own room. In their three years of marriage, they had never shared a bed. She wouldn’t even walk past his door, let alone enter his private space. Thus, it was beyond his comprehension that Shi Ning would be in his room, wearing his shirt, and sleeping in his bed. The only thing missing was her sleeping with him.

Shi Ning felt a pang of guilt at her own past behavior. “Lin Jingyao! She is trying to sow discord between us again!” Her anger flared. “No! I have to torture her, otherwise I will be so angry that I can’t sleep at night! That’s too depressing!” She had to protect her own peace of mind, and that of her “little barrage girls” who followed her story. They couldn’t be wronged, lest they stop providing those crucial spoilers.

Just then, an idea sparked in Shi Ning’s mind – a perfect plan to torment this scumbag.
